From casual dog walkers to the hardened ramblers who cross it on the path from Stokenchurch to the Ridgeway, Cowleaze Wood is an ideal place to stretch your legs. Joggers can be found too, enjoying the sculptures as they gallop by. Horse riding however is not permitted as there are no bridleways in the wood and overhanging branches make it potentially dangerous.

Moving on to wheels, cycling must be done with care and consideration for other visitors to the Trail. No powered transport is allowed onto the site beyond the car park, with the exception of electric wheelchairs and Forest Enterprise/Chiltern Sculpture Trust authorised vehicles. The Trail is also popular with bird spotters, picnickers and even draws participants in the new and growing pastime of GeoCaching. Weather permitting, sometimes intrepid cross-country skiers can be found on the Trail!
