past works |
Since its foundation in 1990 the Chiltern Sculpture Trail has been home to many artworks.
Some are commissioned by the Trust as permanent installations, while others are designed as temporary additions.
Below are some pieces which featured on the Trail but are no longer in situ. Other works which have been removed
from Cowleaze Wood can be accessed by clicking the darker orange icons to the left or at the bottom of this page,
or via links on the map page. | ||||

Untitled by Katy Howkins. The process of making is integral to Katy's work - ritual, routine and habit are also important elements. In spring 2003 Katy created and installed an oversized latex doily onto the forest floor, the piece looking like a spotlight on the ground, a mysterious pool or some type of spillage. NO LONGER IN SITU.Chiltern Ring by Danny Lane was a 7.5m diameter sculpture made from steel. It appeared beside a now little-used path from the car park towards the centre of the wood from 1992 until 1995. |
