TERMINAL HOLIDAY INDEX OLD NAKED PHOTO ALBUM PAGE: MILAN AND/OR BUST

This page has some pictures of a surprise trip to Milan and Bergamo in Italy which I took my old buddy Gavin on in March 2003. The surprises came thick and fast...

• Sk8boarding may not be a crime, but senseless criminal damage to a beautiful, ancient building is. The fools.
• The Galleria Vittorio Emanuele is, according to my guide book, a Bell Epoque arcade. I have no idea what this means. That's Leonardo da Vinci behind me.
• Imagine waking up to a giant eye looking in at your bedroom window every morning.
• The guide book promised this magnificent sight. A 'poem in marble', as Mark Twain put it so well. However, the fates were against us...
• ...And this is what I got to see of the 'Doh'mo. As Father Jack might say, "Arse".
• How could anyone resist being able to say that they've photographed Cocks in Italy? Obviously I am one of those who couldn't.
• The main Piazza in front of the Duomo in Milan was a lovely space.
• The chapel at Bergamo airport, at about 3am. Driven slightly mad by a mixture of sleep depravation and boredom, I went for a look.
• The old and the new form an unholy alliance in Milan. This is in part due to the heavy bombing allied forces carried out during the war. Sorry about that.
• Because of this smash on the autostrada, we were stranded in Italy for an extra day - or doubling the length of the trip - we were forced to re-think our plans...
• Bergamo Steps. Not an Italian tribute band, but rather these steps in Piazza Vicchia, Bergamo Alta! With two nice American girls we met - Chagmi and Nicolee.
• Plane crazy. About 2.30am in the darkened airport concourse I challenged Gavin and the girls to a paper plane competition.
• When near Rome... The Castello Sforzesco and it's fountain.
• The mighty Duomo through spring blossoms.
• Smiling through the pain of budget air travel on the way home. I'd not slept much.
• A view from the roof of the Duomo. Milan really was a very pretty city, but I think I liked Bergamo even more!
• The Castello is reflected in a mystery woman's glasses, so I know it was taken where I found it on the floor.
• Milan (Animal) Hotel film. See what happens when I get left in front of a large mirror in this 5.28Mb / 69 second .MPG movie.
Many more videos from Italy are available on the VIDEORAMASCOPE page.
