TERMINAL HOLIDAY INDEX OLD NAKED PHOTO ALBUM PAGE: OTHER FUN-FUN-FUN IN THE SUN-SUN-SUN

This page has some pictures cracked-off in Corfu in 1999 and Majorca in 2001. You may have noticed, I have developed a penchant for island life.

Majorca for a week(?) in 2001
• Climbing in Majorca. High in the hills Judith re-enacts a pose from our Landscape of Mallorca guidebook, published by Sunflower Books. (ISBN 1-85691-103-9)
• Climbing in Majorca - The original! This is the donkey track leading to the Castillo de Alaro, near the islands west coast. And it was beautiful.
• Cliff-top tower on the northeast coast of the island, not far from Cala Mesquida on a day that's become known as sausage day for reasons I won't go into here.
• High above a Majorcan plain, the monastery of Santuario de San Salvador crouches on a hilltop behind this giant concrete cross.
• Judith, car & castle. The Castillo de Santureri and Judith was in charge of getting us there as I'd not been able to find my Drivers Licence.
• Torrente de Pareis gorge is reached from La Colobra on the west coast. You need to negotiate a spectacular zig-zag road to get there.
• Oink! Hiding from the sun at a big Manor House we never actually went into, we found these lumps of sizzling bacn-to-be.
• Rather than beam at the camera in usual empty-headed holiday way, we decided to look grumpy. Note the teddy bears, the simply unspeakable art on the wall.
Corfu for two weeks in 1999
• Corfu ruins taken by me on the slopes of the islands highest mountain, Pantokrator (a.k.a. Panty-Crater).
• More rough stuff. Judith and I wandered through the abandoned village of Paleo Xorio which was very eerie yet cool.
• Judith with our Jeep. We got up into the mountains on the roughest of rough tracks in this fine Suzuki Jeep. Another photograph of it is on CARPIX page.
• Corfu Sunset with Judith. On our last evening on the island we were treated to a stunningly beautiful sunset, the best I think I've even witnessed.
• Corfu Sunset with Paul. Judith snapped away with her APS camera, and I've been busy with my scanner ever since.
• Judith catching a few rays while I played Captain. We hired a fine 12hp craft in Sidari (a town on the north coast) and headed out for some aquatic fun.
• I spent most on the time sitting at the helm, developing what sailors calls 'Sea-Buttocks' rather than 'Sea-legs'. I did let Judith have a go - I'm kind like that.
